HOW DO I CARE FOR MY GARMENT?

Properly cared for garments will last you many years, but let's face it- showing horses can get a little dirty! Our show clothes need a little love from time to time. Here are some tips and tricks to care for your beloved garment. 

CLEANING

 

  • Hand Wash Only
  • Use a Mild Detergent with Cold Water
  • Avoid getting the leather excessively wet. Overtime leather will crack and deteriorate with too much exposure.
  • White Ultrasuede runs the risk  of color bleeding. Spot cleaning is highly recommended. 
  • You may use a soft sponge or cloth to gently scrub the stubborn spots
  • Hang or lay flat to dr

  • Hang or lay flat to dry, making sure the cuffs/sleeves are not laying on the body
  • Iron/Steam on low setting with caution to avoid leather and crystals
  • DO NOT Dry Clean
  • NEVER  put garments in the wash machine or dryer



TIPS & TRICKS

 

  • Between cleanings, a solution of alcohol and water can be sprayed on the inside of collar and cuffs to help with easier makeup and dirt removal. 
  • Allow Garment to air out prior to putting it back into any garment bag.
  • Light or White garments can be scotch guarded to help protect from dirt spots.
  • Use sweat protectors in the arm pits to of sh

  • Wear an undershirt to absorb sweat
  • Only wear your garment when you are ready to show. 
  • Be sure and always store your garment in a climate controlled environment.
  • If any crystals require replacing, we recommend using E6000 glue.

After contacting us, ship us your garment and we will do a touch up and return in a timely manor. 

However, please make sure before shipping that we have availability as certain times of year we are booked full. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. If package is not properly labeled for "return for repairs/warranty" and customs and or duty is charged on delivery, DC Custom Label will forward those fees onto the buyer.
